One such book is The Credit Repair Answer Book seeks to do exactly what its title suggests – give you answers that will help you repair your credit.
The thing I liked most about The Credit Repair Answer Book was the references and explanation of specific credit-related laws, like The Fair Credit Billing Act. Nickel’s law background proved to be beneficial here as she simplifies the complex laws into everyday language.
Nickel also includes sample letters you can send to credit bureaus, creditors, and debt collectors along with examples of loan applications and foreclosure documents. The Appendix also includes valuable information – addresses and phone numbers of state resources, Federal Trade Commission offices, and statute of limitations.
If I were trying to repair my credit, Nickel’s advice would point me in the right direction, but it wouldn’t take me completely to the destination. She includes wealth of information about credit, but doesn’t make it all actionable. It would be a great companion to an Everything or For Dummies book.
It, among other books out there, is a valuable resource to help you with your credit goals.
You will find that books like this, in our store and on this page of recommended books will have a wealth of ideas that you may not find online nor would have thought of otherwise to help you increase your credit score.
